November 2016 in review (Brandon's Birthday Month)

This is November in review :) it is still Scorpio season :)
I can't believe it is almost the end of another yar, time just keeps on flying bye.
As most of you know I have this new LOVE to cook. attitude  Which is pleasing to both me and the hubby :) So Ive been trying to be a little healthier SO I tried this taco salad.  It was SO good :)

Then the first weekend of the month we had to head down to San Diego like we always do :) it is a tradition :) Timeshares are a sucker for some people, but thankfully we bought ours at the right time, and they always try to get us to upgrade but we haven't.  We just attend the seminars to get free stuff and learn about new stuff.  Like the option we learned about last time the bonus points/bucks we've had it for SO long and did know about it :S We have had the timeshare for SO long. and just have been using it the way we are supposed to, to our benefit alone has been the last 4-5 years, and it has been SO nice :)  We hit up a few spots in gas lamp and found this one place we LOVE & they had the best french fries.  Flethy fries with pot roast, we had some & I was in heaven with them :)
San Diego Guild Festival
The gaslamp also had some black lives matters events going on that we were able to partake in.  It was SO cool :)

Then when after spending the night in San Diego we had to head home to set up for the game of the year.  The Raiders vs. Broncos.  We SO had a silver & black get together & had a great turn out & a GREAT time :) it was so much fun :) we had a house full of people :) Brandon hooked up some yummy tri-tip and vegeteables that I seasoned and potatoe salad, and of course brownies for dessert.  I LOVE Costco.  The man cave banner you see my parents gave to Brandon for his birthday :) its a sweat banner.  It SO fits in the man cave :) Im SO glad we got into that Bronco ass :) We had a good turn out and a good result and we are only half way through the season leading our division :) More games will see us this year.  We are SO grateful that we are in a position to continue to enjoy the things we do :) We are already talking about several games that may see us in the near future.

Then the following weekend we attended a family wedding in Newport.  It was a gorgeous wedding only draw back was that it was on a Sunday, but we dealt with it :)
Wedding photo
I actually got all but but got COLD like I always do :S

Thing got hectic for me and I didn't updaate my blog weekly like I usually do so I had to use my memory :S We where more then halfway through the month and headed to Sharkeys in Newport Beach for a friends birthday.
The best of the best of people were in attendance for Shaniekas birthday :)
it was GREAT seeing everyone and catching up with everyone :)

Then the Raiders had a BIG Monday night football game :) So we headed to BWW with some friends and had a GREAT time :) The Raiders won the game and are still leading the division :) It was another GREAT experience :) We need to get together with people more often :)

Then before we knew it the Holidays hit :S Like, we do most years we went to my parents house and had a fest over there :) Its hard to make a bunch of food and then transport it but well worth it :)

Then that Friday we caught a flight to San Francisco and spent the rest of the weekend up there in union square :) We have returned up north since my injury and this was our first time staying up there.  Like always we had a GREAT time.  So thankful we got to experience this with GREAT friends :) We went all out for this game and lived the catered, Suite life :) it was perfect :) I'm beyond grateful and thankful that we get to still experience this stuff.  We are still debating other games as well :S The following is a load  of pictures from the weekend :)
This guy totally enjoyed his tailgatting experience :)
Thankfully using the BART was not to hard :) got from point A to B and back without a problem
Game time :) Suite Shot :)
So HAPPY with got to experience the with Wendy & Dom
Group shot in the Suite :)

I couldn't hit up San Francisco and not go to Fishermans Wharf and get me a bowl of Clam Chowder.  The weather up north was perfect fro a nice warm bowl of soup :)

Union square was all decked out with the christmas lights

We got to do so much and experience so much in a weekend.  It was a GREAT trip but nothing beats being back home.  Now its time for me to get Christmas ready :S #So not looking forward to it :S not that I'm a grinch just don't know anything these days :S my xmas tree may be empty :S #thisxmasSUCKS

Stay blessed people I hope everyone had a GREAT thanksgiving and all are looking forward to Christmas :)

October 2016 in Review Scorpio Season

Im SO excited :) its my birthday month :) We haven't decided on doing much for my birthday...I kind of just want to sit back and relax and soak my life in :) I am SO grateful for  Gods blessing :) SO I find myself praying him awhole lot which is a good thing :) My emotions this month have been all over the place for no reason :S

This month has not been busy at all which I am SO ok with :) this year we have been having a lot of fun and every month has been full of activities SO i was SO ready to tone it down :)

So excited to get to share a birthday month with my nephew :) Samuel James was born this month and my parents were there to experience his birth and my brothers home coming, from his deployment.  He spent 9 months deployed, so the whole pregnancy.  He left his, and his wife was knocked up, and he came home to a new baby boy.  He would be the only boy in the family having the only male children LOL :)

Samuel James :)
he is his own person but SO looks like Joey Jr.  they both have their daddy's good looks :)

We didn't do anything until the middle of the month when we went to a baby shower if Fullerton :) it was a lot of fun and it was good to see old friends and catch up with people :) after the shower was over of course we still had to hang out and check out the local breweries :) there was one right next door to the sports venue they had the shower at.  The sports venue was really cool :) baby Kameron will be born this December.  I LOVE his name :)

Then I got to chill sonnemore :) Then the 29th I had another old friends baby shower to go to :) Baby Maldonado will also be born in December :) He will be a Jr.  like Joey :) he was a complete surprise, but my friend is blessed to add a boy to her family :) She already has 2 girls.

As always i am still at it :) I started hard with my walks/run in September but that changed :S its okay though.  SO what I have been able to do consistently these days is walk a minimum of 2 miles Monday-Saturday, do 30 squats and this arm workout i found on pinterest.  It isn't much but it is something :)

Happy Halloween everyone :) I know it sucks, out of all days halloween is on a Monday geez :S We have no plans for halloween, cause Monday is a random day and probably because we don't have any kids :S

We will see what next month brings.  Keep it safe and blessed people :)

September 2016 in Review

I can't believe summer is pretty much over :S we had a good summer though.  Hit up the lake/river several times and enjoyed life the month of July.  We had a lot going on the month of July so,  the river/lake didn't see us., we enjoyed everything else we did that month though. Well see what next year brings :) #excitedaboutnextyearalready:)

We started off this month like we have always liked to do, its our tradition.  We went to the LA county fair and a bunch of people that we love joined us.  The Davis family & the Burrell family.  Great experience :) The ladies escaped for a little bit to do a little wine tasting while the guys got to enjoy all the other aspects of the fair :)
#tradition#LAcountyfairmemories

Enjoying it :) Fair Fun :)
We are all So glamorous :)
wine tasting

The night after the fair we went to Alabama.  Brandon had to get some more of his family in, so we did it again LOL on somewhat of a budget :S #notreally:S We got to spend a little time with the family at the family house, then to the NO we went with pops to spend some time down there and watch the Raider season opener game :) it was such a good game.  I had all kinds of emotions that day, so glad we came out of there with a victory.  SO glad we were able to do this. I think, it is on our bucket list.  We want to experience as many stadiums as we can. So far we have gone to the stadium in Oakland, NY. SD and now NO.  It is a great stadium and thankfully it is indoors cause the humidity down south is CRAZY.
So, we went to the game and spent time with family then back to Alabama we went to spend more time with family.  Everything we did was GREAT :) hung out, shot a little pool, walked the streets, had late night food etc...we had a GREAT time doing all of it.  For the most part we got to see a lot of people.  We didn't get to see everyone though, trying to get everyone in is always hard :S but of course we saw the grand parents :) we made time for that above everything else.
It was a GREAT trip and the southern hospitality is DOPE.  You can never get to much of that.  We got LOVE in Alabama and the NO.  They LOVED, above everything else that Raider fans came out to visit.  #freedrinks:S

here is a mess of game day pictures with the family :)

Of course I had to get me a grenade :) time didn't a lot to get the famous dessert down there :S next time :) I don't think this city has seen the last of us yet.  We have gone down there every year for the past 3 years :) #enjoyinglife

Cornbread, Clolard greens, & chicken

I had to bring a little bit of down south good food home with me #misssingmysausages:S
Ive been trying to pick up on my regicie game agin, so I whipped this up.  It wasn't too hard & it was tasty :) I also tried this one which I enjoyed & the hubby wasn't to happy with it so, it won't be on our menu again, but at least I tried it.

Chicken & Bisquits

We had a friend come in from out of town and was hosting a 90's get together/birthday party :)
It was GREAT to see Mecca :) Had a GREAT time at the party :)
We are some fly girls :)

Then at the end of the month our neighbor that has a pool had a BBQ, which we were invited too so, we went and enjoyed :)
#nopictures:S

I HATE when we have certain events and I forget to take pictures :S i try my best to remember what all we did for the month and keeping up with my blog is how I do so as well :) I like sharing our story and adventures :)

Stay blessed and active everyone I have :)

August 2016 in Review

This is such a HUGE month for me on so many levels :) First of all I have to give all the glory and praise to god for this 2nd chance at life he has given me.  I am blessed beyond words and SO grateful for it :)

We started of this month not doing much but then we got busy real quick.  We had our friend Eds birthday to go to on Friday the 5th.  So we hung out all night over there :) Happy Birthday Edward.  Mostly everyone knows him as Draws :)

Then the next day I had to go with my dad to John Wayne airport to drop my mom off.  She was going to Texas again solo to go see and help out with the kids.  It was the first time anyone has flown out of that airport so I went with my dad to get familiar with the airport.  I had Peanut stay at their house for the weekend cause we were off to Palm Springs.  It was a last minute trip that we were able to book through our timeshare thankfully :) and the timing of this trip couldn't have come at a better time :) It was the weekend of my 5 year anniversary of life again :) We had a GREAT time in Palm Springs, hanging out pool side and going out to play chess and smoke a cigar and have a steak dinner.  We LOVE going out there, and throughly enjoyed the BUZZ bus :) we did't have to worry about driving :) I was an emotional wreck all weekend :S As, I sat back and thought about where I was 5 years ago and where I am at today it is amazing, god is real and I am proof .  I am a  blessing, as he gave me a 2nd chance at life.  In the process SO many things could have gone wrong but they haven't thankfully :) People view me as a miracle and I agree but I just like to use the terminology of being a blessing :) I am gods blessing and will continue to push and move forward.  #BLESSED

Then that Monday we had to come back to reality :S I called my Dad because I wanted to go pick up my princess but he left her spoiled ASS in the house because she didn't get up with him in the morning LOL spoiled BITCH would not have it any other way :) She is SO spoiled :) I need to take her to Lazy Dogs again :) then we just continued on with the week.  We had another A/C quote this week so I know it coming but when I don't know :S and, I have been without a fridge for about 2 weeks :S at first I was ok but really this is for the dogs :S
 Buzz stop :)
a night out with my LOVE :)

Pushing forward with the month we went to Culver City for a hang out to celebrate my best friends birthday :) There we got the thrill of a life time :) she is expecting :) I am beyond thrilled for her :) keep the kids coming :)

Then the next day we went out for our friends/families 16 year wedding anniversary :) Never been to this spot at Victoria Gardens but it was GREAT :)

and then we had this little angel come home to visit.  We had a girls night out in Brea with this little prince where I got to shock him up :)

Then the following week I went out to lunch several times with everyone :) My two most memorable ones are with my friend Natasha.  #somefriendshipsneverchange:)  & then the hubby & I decided to try the Royal Cut out :) I had a coupon :) I don't do anything these days without a coupon :) then another day we went to Black Angus :) his favorite spot :)

The Black Angus deals are SUPER :) #HappyHour:)

This month has been extremely eventful :) at the end of the month we decided to do back to back river/lake trips :S which is something we never do but, because we didn't do any trips last month and it was the end of the summer we decided to go for it and just do it :) Our first trip was to Laughlin with friends & as always we had a GREAT time there :) we had a rock stuck in the jet ski that we were able to get out so its running fine and the hubby was finally able to fix the fridge :) That was a HUGE relief :) we thankfully didn't have to buy a new fridge :) #patiance&procrastinationpaysoff:)

Then the following weekend we toke off to Parker AZ :) we had family visiting so we planned our camping trip around that & I had not taken our god sons birthday into account so we had to miss his 3rd birthday party, and I was SO bummed :S We had a GREAT time at the river though :) we LOVE Parker :) it is always so much fun :) We had family go with us and a few friends with their toys :) its always fun with friends and so much better when they have their own toys that they are responsible for :)

Parker AZ #Campingadventures:)

Since we had family here allowed we did a couple of things :) but I did;t take pictures :S which I always do, SO I'm bummed :S we did local wine tasting, went shopping, did a taco Tuesday hop that I think we created, and we had a blast :)

family & I
Taco Tuesday

Family was here for a week and the whole time they were here Brandon was turned up LOL then they left and he crashed LOL well see if he turns it up again next month :) I think he will :) SO even though we didn't do much in  July we were still busy and were able to end the summer with a bang :) i'm kind of sad the summer is over but I'm SO ready for this heat to leave :S I hope everyone has had a good summer cause like I said even though we didn't do a whole lot it was still GREAT

stay blessed people :)

July 2016 in Review

We have to deal with it, we are officially half way into the year :S Its CRAZY :S  We have had a fun filled summer thus far :) We have gone to the lake 2x already :) & have throughly enjoyed it :) This month we won't be able to go until MAYBE the end of the month because we have to many things going on :S its okay it will all be worth it & we will enjoy ourselves either way :)

We started off the month by attending the Davis Wedding on July 2nd.  It was a GREAT wedding :) I LOVE going to weddings & feeling all the love in the air.
Girl photo booth shot :)
Congratulations Andrew & Michelle

Then the following week my mom had cataract surgery so I had to take her in and stuff so I spent 3 days over there :)   Her surgery went well.

Then I had a full fledge girls weekend :) That Thursday I went out with some of my closets girl friends to go catch up :) it was a great evening :) did a lot of catching up :)

Then Friday was my cousin Mercedes birthday so we went out to have a girls day at the spa :) I LOVE all of what Glen Ivy has to offer :)
Happy Birthday Mercedes
Cousin time :)

Then Saturday I went down to Irvine to my other cousin Sonia's and my BFFs Lacie place and spent the rest of the weekend there :) We went down to San Diego because we had another cousin in from out of town.  It was a full fledge cousin weekend :)
I throughly enjoyed all of it :)

Then on 7/16/2016 Brandon had a class reunion that last minute didn't go down :S so we didn't make any plans for the weekend cause we thought we had plans :S  We would have probably gone to the lake again :S so because we didn't have any plans we just sat back and had a lazy weekend at home :) We were juiced though :) Brandon needed the lazy weekend and the show Power returned so of course we had to watch it :) This is 1 out of 3-4 shows that is a MUST watch for us :)

Then we kept on moving forward in the month :) the lake/river hasn't seen us this month though and I'm bummed about it especially since its been so HOT :S but we are making the most of it :) we had a few quotes come for the a/c SO I know its coming :) I think my mind has been playing tricks on me and the more & more I think about it the hotter and hotter I get :) but it has been HOT we are in a sever heat wave & this 100+ temperatures is no joke :S I sit back and wonder how have we done it all these years :) I guess maybe because before I was at work all day but now I'm in this HOT ASS house all day LOL the new windows we put in have definitely helped :) So if you ever wonder why we don't have people over in the summer thats why cause its HOT.  Our fridge also took a dump this month :S SO MAD :S so that HAS to be replaced no if and of buts about it, it is a must :S but i'm just mad at all the expenses we have going out the door this month I'm like geez ::S

At the end of the month I was SO nervous :S last month my therapist asked me to speak at a conference and to just tell my story and milestones/goals I have been able to achieve and over come.  So, Brandon & my mom came for support which I needed cause I was SO nervous, cause I'm SO not a public speaker, but I did it :) reading the Facebook support I had,and people sending random text were a good boast.  The greatest feedback that I got from Brandon 2-3 nights before the conference.  He said "its your story who can tell it better then you, snd if you mess up no one will know" he was SO write.  its my story, a story that I want to tell so what better place could I tell it then at a TBI conference.  So, I ran with it :) he was right it is my story a story I want to tell and in SO in the preliminary stages of writing my story into a book but its coming :) Writing a book is a goal I set for myself :) #maybebynextspring#hopefully:)

Then at the end of the month we attended the Ward wedding :) I like to go to gorgeous weddings :) I LOVE all the LOVE I feel :)
CONGRATULATIONS
Kenny & Ruth

I unknowingly matched the wedding coolers :) I was pumped up about that :)

These days as always I'm still on my workout grind and 140 pounds has SO grown on me :) I ended the month weighing 140.9 and I measured myself and there was a difference in some areas, I think thats because the muscle is coming :) I feel great and slowly but surely can feel the muscle coming in.  So I was able to hit my goal of 140 and living with it.  The 135 was my ultimate goal which I may never see cause even though I feel and look great the scale is still going up :S and from the research I have been doing its not that muscle weighs more then fat but its the volume of muscle that makes a difference.  So hmm... i'm just assuming I have more muscle so its taking more volume so thats why I am weigh more :) so just agree :) i'm satisfied thus far but will continue to stay active as always :) its my healthy time killer/ coping mechanism :)

This month the cuban in me came out :) dealing with this heat there is no way I was going to slave over a stove so I let the crockpot do all the work for me :) I just threw everything in the crockpot for a few hours :) it turned out good but i know there are other recipes out there as well for this and lots of other things so please share :) Im all about letting my crockpot do the work for me especially these days in this HEAT  :)

Then we ended the month on a fabulous date night :) we have date nights like all the time :) like every weekend when it is Brandon's turn to cook :) We have an agreement I cook during the week and he handles the weekend :) So if he is not BBQing then we are out and about LOL :) I LOVE it :) it was funny cause he was in a sushi mode which is SO not like him :) So, we hit up the local Japanese restaurant which was cool :) This kind of food you have to SO be in the mode for, which he was and I tolerated it :) and had some yummy chicken fried rice and egg rolls :)
Asian Beer :)

Glad we had a good month and made the most of things :) The River/lake will see us in August and I am juiced :) we have a few things booked because family is coming and working on a few other things :) our August Calendar is already booked and i'm juiced for all the things we have coming up :)
