In April got to go to my BFS wedding and it was great very memorable :) Then got to kick of Lake/River season by going to the lake Memorial Weekend and a few trips after that too :) it was great. My goal this year is to look really good out on the water this year. I always look fly but I'm trying to look my flyest this year :)
Then my brother and Bs friend got married in August. Got to go to two other great weddings. One in the OC and the other in Texas. It was hard for me to see my brother get married I shed a few tears :( and now we have great additions to our family. My brothers wife, his daughter Claire, and now his little peanut Joseph Jr. He is already expecting his first kid. So, I guess I lost the race I didn't know I was even apart of since we don't have any kids :S he makes sure I know that every time I see him :S
Then my BFF Sean had his little peanut Isaiah. He is the cutest most adorable thing that 2013 has brought. I'm still getting use to the idea of being an aunt now on top of it I have to get use to being a distant aunt because my brother lives in Texas :S
We also had two sick dogs this year so they were expensive. I wish we had pet insurance. But, I guess you always want something when you don't have it :S
Then spent my birthday at home and then Bs birthday here too but it was an eventful day :) we had a little kick back.
Thanksgiving was good spent it at the hubby's bosses house. It was all good over there :) then the holidays hit. Was able to accomplish all my Christmas shopping on a budget :) it sucks not having income :( worst part about staying home. I am asked all the time what do I do and my reply is nothing :( cooking and cleaning is stuff that I have always done so now I fill out surveys and play games to train my brain again. My biggest impairment is my short term memory so I have to write EVERYTHING down :S so I don't forget. And, I know I have said this before but I have to pick up my coupon clipping. I have to contribute in some way :S I always find myself being the biggest disappointment and don't contribute to my family :S but, thankfully my husband always reminds me that I do.
My brother and his family came home for Christmas and we held him a baby shower :) went to the mountains to get in some sledding and saw Disney on ice :) it was great family time :) went to the movies on the 25th and saw Mandela and it was a good movie but I guess I was expecting a little bit more.
We also went to a great brunch for christmas :)
My cousin got engaged and is expecting his first little peanut :) so, a wedding and baby shower is in my future. Like I said 2013 has been EVENTFUL :)
Then spent New Years at home :) had a great block party. Not as many people as last year but still GREAT :) I was up for a full 24 hours :S and woke up sick :S I got like this 24 hour bug which took me out completely. I'm still recuperating. .
Started off the New Year with great news, sick :S and and my husband is still grinding so we can live this great life that we have. Tickets are bought and we will be spending Marte Gra in Mobile this year :)
Some times I get so perplexed and find myself asking myself how did I get so lucky to be able to live this great life that I have now and still feel like I am missing something. When I actually look at the big picture it is all good over here, besides having this injury.
I have made several New Years resolutions and they are all about me :) trying to continue to improve overall and in particular my mind, body and soul.
I think our neighborhood will have the New Years Eve block party every year now. So my invite is going out now. Everyone who is anyone will be here 12/31/14.
So, we shall see what 2014 has to bring :S for now we must figure out what we are going to do for the Super Bowl. Any plans or ideas out there?
Lastly, I think I'm starting to like the new me. I am always full of ideas. If my ideas get taken up is another story. Everyone take care and Happy New Years :)
